Rose Cake Recipe: Hey there, so we are a few days away from Valentine and you guys must be thinking about what to make for the special day, so here we are with our delicious aromatic and smooth rose cake. When I was in my college in Delhi we used to celebrate this day with so much fun. All friends going to somebody home for hangouts and then, later on, we go for drinks or dinner. At that time we share our food and flowers rather than expensive gifts like nowadays people do. So just remembering those days I try this cake for my Valentine, it turns out great.

We have made a simple sponge cake, the recipe that we already shared in our blog so you can check it from there.

Now the main ingredients which give flavors to the cake are three types of milk with rose essence. The cake is to be soaked in this milk which gives your cake creamy goodness and leaves you with a moist and flavorful cake.

Ingredients for Rose Cake

  • Sponge cake
  • ½ can evaporate milk
  • ¾ can of condensed milk
  • ¼ cup fresh milk
  • 11/2 tsp rose essence
  • The drop of pink color
  • Whipping cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp confectioners sugar
  • Rose petals for decoration

Instructions

  • Make the sponge cake as instructed in my blog.
  • Once the cake gets ready, let it cool down a little. Combine all three kinds of milk together in a medium-size bowl. add the rose essence in it and whisk it nicely with the hand beater. Prick the cake with the help of a toothpick, pricking is very important so that cake can observe the milk mixture perfectly.
  • Now pour the milk mixture on the warm cake and refrigerate for 30 minutes. This will allow the cake to soak the rose milk mixture. Leave 3-4 tbsp rose milk mixture for icing.
  • While the cake is in the refrigerator, whip the heavy cream and sugar with the egg beater till you get a peak. Once the cream gets whipped spread it on the cake with the help of an icing bag. You can too with a spatula also but we always prefer to do with an icing bag as it gives your cake a more neat look. Sprinkle some edible rose petals to give a perfect Valentine cake.
  • While serving pour some rose milk mixture on the sides of the cake as it makes the cake delicious and beautiful, after all, it’s Valentine’s day!!
