Beetroot Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup boiled basmati rice
  • 1/2 cup grated beetroot*
  • 1 tsp. ginger and green chili paste**
  • 1/4 tsp. garam masala
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • Corriander leaves for garnishing
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Take out a frying pan and put it on your stove. Turn up the heat to medium flame and pour your vegetable oil on it and let it get slightly hot.
  • Now add your green chili and ginger paste in the frying pan and saute it for a few seconds.
  • Now add your grated beetroot and saute it until it gets soft.
  • Now add your spices (salt and garam masala) and add your boiled basmati rice in the frying pan. Saute for 2 minutes with a gentle hand.
  • Now we will add vinegar, lemon juice, and sugar on your rice and saute it for another 2 minutes.
  • Now your rice is ready! Sprinkle some coriander leaves on top and enjoy!
