Peda Recipe: Hey there, first I want to wish a happy teej to all my friends. Teej is one of the best festivals in Rajasthan. Women wear leheriya, put Mehendi on their hands. Eat ghevar and of course do a lot of dancing with their friends and family. Basically, Teej is celebrated to welcome the monsoon. We are sharing our peda recipe. Peda is a very popular sweet in India. As teej is approaching we thought of sharing some easy sweet recipes.
This Peda Recipe is the easiest one to make with three core ingredients. In India, every state has its own kind of sweets. As for me, Mathura ka peda is best, But for many milk, peda is best which we are making today. There are malai peda , kesar peda etc etc. Peda is an all-time favorite whether its Teej or rakhi, Diwali or Holi pedal can be eaten anytime to share your happiness.
When I was a kid my dad used to buy different kinds of Peda Recipe for me But I always insisted that he buy Mathura ka peda.
Even today whenever I visit India I always Make sure that I should get a box of peda. For me it’s not only a peda box, it’s a box full of emotions and my happy memories.
So now coming to the recipe we just need three ingredients: full-fat milk powder, fresh milk, and sugar. For flavor, we need saffron and cardamom. This peda is so so easy to make that within few minutes you can make it.
Ingredients for Peda Recipe
- 11/2 cup full fat milk powder
- ½ cup sugar
- 60 ml fresh milk
- Few strands of saffron
- ⅓ tsp cardamom crushed
- Dried rose petals for garnishing
Instructions
- Take a non-stick or heavy base pan, add milk in it.
- Now add sugar and milk powder to the pan and whisk it thoroughly till it becomes a smooth batter.
- Turn on the stove and cook this batter on low flame. First, it will get loosen up but keep mixing it on low flame after 5-6 minutes it will start to get thick. Once the mix starts leaving the pan, turn off the stove and Transfer this mix to a separate bowl to cool it down.
- Grease a big size plate with ghee and knead the dough till it becomes soft. Make a big ball of the dough and with the help of a rolling pin make a round of ½ inch thick. With any cookie cutter, cut them in the desired shape.
- Garnish it with saffron and cardamom. Leave the peda to cool before storing.
