We have already posted recipes for Tabbouleh, Labneh Dip, and Zaatar (Social Media Exclusive) Today, I am going to share the best fattoush salad recipe – it is a mix of flavors – it is tangy, crunchy (because of the pita bites, don’t be confused I will explain that later) and most importantly the salad is scrumptious. Whenever I prepare a full course Medditarian meal Fattoush always plays a big part because it is really easy to make! So let’s get started!

Ingredients for Fattoush Salad

  • 1 whole pita bread
  • 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sumac
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • To make the salad you will need:
  • 1 head romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber – chopped
  • 1/2 small red onions – sliced
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup parsley
  • 4-5 radishes sliced for garnishing
  • For the dressing you will need:
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 3 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sumac
  • salt according to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 10-15 pieces pita chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 175 Celcius. Cut your pita bread into small square pieces.
  • In a separate bowl, mix your oil, sumac, and salt together. Brush this on top of your square cut pieces and put the bread in your oven for 15 minutes. Tada!
  • The method for this is simple – just mix everything together and continue to the dressing method?
  • All you have to do to make the dressing is mix all of the dressing ingredients together and pour on top of your salad.
  • Garnish your salad with the pita chips you made before and your salad is ready to be eaten!
