In this recipe, I have used all-purpose flour. Please don’t use bread flour or wheat flour.I have used unsalted butter, but if you are using salted one then don’t add extra salt indicated in the recipe. I used granulated sugar. Sour cream can be substituted with plain yogurt, but make sure yogurt should not be very liquidy and if it is watery, please put yogurt in the strainer so that the excess water gets drained out.

For the Cake
2 cups all-purpose flour
11/2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp white vinegar
¼ tsp salt
½ cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup thick yogurt
¼ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla essence

Method
1 Preheat the oven to 180 degrees c, grease the cake pan with butter so that the cake doesn’t stick to it.
2 In a large bowl, sift flour and baking powder. Add salt and mix to combine.
3 In another large bowl take sugar and butter and beat them until the mixture gets creamy and pale with the help of an egg beater. Now add yogurt to it and again beat the mixture.
4 Now add flour mixture to this batter, Turn your mixture to low speed. Add milk to the batter alternatively like first put flour then milk then again flour and then milk.
5 Pour the cake mixture into the cake pan and keep it baking for at least 45-50 minutes. Check with the skewers if it comes out clean it means the cake is ready.
6 With the eggbeater beat the cream till it hits its peak. Now that your cake is cool, spread the cream lightly and sprinkle your favorite sprinklers.
