A round chocolaty (but healthy) pancake in a plate. You take a knife and slowly cut it open to see a warm, toothsome hazelnut and chocolate spread ooze out ? This oat and Nutella pancake bomb is – well chocolaty but also heartfelt and delightful. I wouldn’t exactly call this “healthy”, though it does have oats because the chocolate really overpowers the oat flavor so if you are on a diet. We have had a lot on our plate in the past few weeks, running events, hosting live videos, etc, etc, so I am finally getting some time to write a proper post.
Nutella Oat Pancake Bombs

- 1 banana – FRESH FRESH FRESH!!!
- 1 cup rolled oats – Rolled oats are basically whole oats. They are irregularly round and slightly textured.
- 1 cup almond milk – If you don’t have almond milk you can use 1 cup fresh milk instead
- 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- Sugar (optional – Nutella is pretty sweet but if you still want to add extra sugar go ahead!)
- 6 tsp. Nutella – Each bomb will have around 1/2 tsp. Nutella
- Okay, once you have collected all of your ingredients follow our simple step-by-step method to make your oozy oat and Nutella bombs:
- Start off by grinding the rolled oats until they are crushed into a fine powder. Once this happens, add a banana, milk, cocoa powder, and baking powder and grind it on high speed until it becomes a fine batter.
- Now take an “appam” maker and grease all of the “holes” with butter. Put your maker onto the stove and turn the flame on medium and leave it there for a few minutes.
- Next, pour some batter in every hole until it reaches halfway through the hole. Let it cook for a minute, then add 1/2 tsp off Nutella on top of each hole and immediately cover it with some of the batter.
- Now cover the pan and let the pancake bombs cook for 5 minutes at medium heat. Now turn off your stove, and scoop off your pancake bombs into a plate and sprinkle with some chocolate chips… enjoy!
