Kiwi with Tahini Salad

Kiwis are irresistible and scrumptious! The loud and cheerful appearance! What’s there to not like about kiwis? Today morning in my garden I sawy that several were ready to be plucked out and to be eaten so I decided to make a flavoursome and healthy salad. I also decided to add a mediterranean touch by adding some tahini and sumac. If you don’t what sumac is, it is a commonly used spice in the Mediterranean cuisine. You can buy sumac over here. So without further ado, let’s get started!!

  • 3 kiwis (diced)
  • 1 medium sized red onion (diced)
  • 2 small cucumbers (diced)
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tsp freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup “crumbled” feta cheese
  • Salt according to your taste
  • 1/4 tsp sumac powder (we provided the link to buy sumac above)
  1. Take a nice big bowl which you will be serving your salad in.
  2. Pour the olive oil in the bowl and add your kiwis, onions, parsley and cucumbers.
  3. Now, sprinkle the sumac and salt. Now add tahini.
  4. Mix well all the ingredients in big bowl.

  5. serve the salad with feta cheese sprinkled on it.

Don’t peel the kiwi skin off to give a rich color and tangy flavour to. your salad.

This salad is best served cold (pun included)

If you don’t have sumac you can use lemon zest as an alternative. But personally, I think sumac will be a better option.
